One of the worst decisions I ever made as a leader:
10 years ago I used to as my team members to keep me in CC in every email to know what is happening and asked them to get my approvals for all official purchases.
I realized that the center of our company's flywheel was me. When in fact, it should be our clients.
When I removed myself and put the focus on our clients, I realized that my involvement was not necessary.
Now, I let my team make all the localized decisions and just focus on scaling my business.
As an entrepreneur, it's natural to feel like you need to be involved in every decision-making process your team members make.
After all, it's your business and your vision that you're working towards.
However, this can be a wrong approach and potentially harm your business in the long run.
You need to trust your team members and empower them to make decisions independently.
This will not only reduce your workload but also increase the efficiency and productivity of your team.
Here's how you can change that approach:
> Hire the right people for your team
> Set clear expectations and goals for your team members
> Create a culture of trust and open communication.
Do you take this approach in your business?
