In 2015, my mentor - Rudy Karsan, helped me gain big $$$
We set up targets to sell to enterprises. We built marketing collateral and launched marketing campaigns but saw no sales for 3-4 months, but we did see 20+ rejections.
I knew it was time to reach out to my mentor Rudy Karsan, and we set up a meeting to find out what was going wrong.
He pointed out that our customer persona had a significant flaw. '
All this time, we were focusing on the wrong persona - they had the power to reject but had no power to buy our product.
We changed our customer persona also known as buyer persona from then.
We focused on enterprises that not only need our products but also have the budget to buy them.
Soon our rejection rate dropped, and our revenue shot up. There was no looking back from there.
Sometimes we believe we are focusing on the perfect customer persona, but we don't consider some apparent factors - do they have the authority and the budget for your product?
What are your thoughts on this?
