Everyone knows their weaknesses but very few people know their strengths.
There is a saying - 'A fish is the last to know it is in water.'
It is the same with our strengths.
Sometimes things come so naturally to us that we start to believe that it comes naturally to everyone else as well.
One of my teammates is the most organized person on our team.
Her files are placed in order, the calendar is color-coordinated, and her entire space is used efficiently.
Every team has someone like this.
I asked her once, "Don't you think this is special?"
She answered, "No, it's so easy. Anybody can do that."
We went around the office and observed other team members' desks and mine.
"If they could do, they would."
It might seem so small, but it's a strength that her peers can benefit from.
As a leader, it is your duty to help your teammates tap into their strengths so that they can use that to help your team generate consistent results.
Do you know what your strengths are?
